GLSEN New York Capital Region works to ensure that all LGBTQ+ K-12 youth are protected, supported, included, and empowered in their schools, point blank. Through each of these core components, we are able to support public and private schools in all eight counties that make up the Capital Region and teach school administrators, teachers, librarians, and staff alike how to be an informed ally to their LGBTQ+ K-12 students.

Habitat for Humanity Capital District builds strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We build or fully renovate homes in the City of Albany, which are then sold low-to-moderate income first-time homebuyer. Habitat has built 139 homes in the Capital District since 1988
